Rajkumar Santoshi’s beloved comedy, Andaz Apna Apna (1994), has made a triumphant return to theaters. Fans are buzzing with excitement to see the dynamic duo of Aamir Khan and Salman Khan light up the screen once more. Notably, actor and reality TV judge Raghu Ram has expressed considerable enthusiasm for this re-release. He recently participated in a screening event, where he passionately encouraged audiences to enjoy the film in theaters again.

Posting several moments from the screening on social media, Raghu Ram urged, “Meri baat maano, iss weekend ko dost log/family/girlfriend/boyfriend jiske saath bhi jaa sako, theatre jaao aur #Andaz Apna Apna dekho. The funniest, funnest film in Hindi film history! You’ll thank me for the recommendation.” Many followers responded enthusiastically, with one sharing plans to take a group of ten and another expressing long-held anticipation for this cinematic treat.

Andaz Apna Apna features an impressive cast, including Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, and Shakti Kapoor. The film’s storyline follows two aimless young men as they vie for the affection of an heiress, leading to a series of comedic misunderstandings and identity mix-ups that keep audiences laughing.

There have been murmurs about a potential sequel since Aamir Khan hinted at it on his birthday. However, recent comments from the children of the film’s original producer, Vinay Kumar Sinha, have shed light on the legalities surrounding the sequel. In a discussion with Lehren Retro, Priti Sinha, Amod Sinha, and Namrata Sinha clarified that neither Aamir Khan nor Rajkumar Santoshi possess any rights to the film. They affirmed that their father held exclusive rights to the classic and that no rights have been transferred to either the actor or the director as of now. They further elaborated that while Santoshi had often talked about collaborating on a sequel with their father, such plans ultimately did not materialize. Though this news may disappoint many fans, there remains a hope that discussions could eventually lead to a sequel.
