Android 16 Beta 3.2 Introduces Key Bug Fixes
Android 16 is approaching the final stages of its testing phase, with the recent launch of Beta 3 last month marking a significant turn towards platform stability. However, the journey isn’t quite over yet, as lingering bugs still necessitate attention. Following the previous release, Google has rolled out Beta 3.2, aimed at resolving some additional issues.
The focus of this latest update is primarily on refining existing features rather than introducing new functionality. The changelog may be brief, but it highlights crucial fixes that enhance user experience:
- Addressed a miscalibration issue affecting haptic feedback in specific scenarios. (Issue #392319999, Issue #400455826)
- Resolved a problem leading to unexpected battery drain during idle periods. (Issue #398329457)
- Fixed a screen flicker issue on Pixel 6 and 6 Pro devices while capturing photos or videos.
- Tackled various other stability and usability concerns to enhance the overall system performance.
In a manner similar to the previous Beta 3.1 update, which addressed a specific flickering issue with Netflix, Beta 3.2 aims to rectify the haptic vibration problems identified in Pixel devices. Another significant fix focuses on reigning in excessive power consumption that has been a source of frustration for many users.
If you are currently part of the Android 16 beta testing program, there are no additional steps needed on your part. The update to Android 16 Beta 3.2 will be made available through an over-the-air update, allowing you to simply await the notification on your Pixel device.
