Andy Serkis Announces Voice Cast for Animated Animal Farm
Andy Serkis has revealed an impressive lineup of voice actors for his long-anticipated animated version of George Orwell’s pivotal 1945 novella, Animal Farm. Leading the ensemble is Seth Rogen, who will portray the ambitious and power-driven pig, Napoleon. Alongside other farm animals, Napoleon will incite a revolt against their human oppressors as they strive for control of the farm. However, this uprising is complicated by Napoleon’s oppressive regime, forcing the animals to confront new adversities and summon the bravery to challenge their authoritarian leader.
The voice cast for Animal Farm includes notable actors such as Gaten Matarazzo from Stranger Things, Steve Buscemi of Boardwalk Empire, Glenn Close from Fatal Attraction, Laverne Cox of Orange is the New Black, Kieran Culkin seen in Succession, Woody Harrelson from True Detective, Jim Parsons of The Big Bang Theory, Kathleen Turner from Peggy Sue Got Married, and Iman Vellani of Ms. Marvel. In addition to directing the project, Serkis will voice one of the characters, specifically the famously skeptical donkey, Benjamin, as noted on the film’s IMDb page.
