In a recent dialogue with ETimes, Bazmee disclosed the extent of his determination while working on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. He sustained a major leg fracture that necessitated surgical intervention. Despite this setback, he pressed on with the film’s production. “One could say I shot the film sitting on one leg,” he humorously noted. The injury occurred less than two weeks before the scheduled start of filming, compelling him to make swift decisions about how to move forward.

Doctors prescribed a significant recovery period of four to six months, but Bazmee explained that the production timeline was already in place, particularly with a planned Diwali release. “If I had delayed shooting, we would have missed the date,” he stated, highlighting the pressure he felt.

A Commitment to the Project

Bazmee explained that he felt staying home during his recovery would hinder his healing process. Thus, he made the bold choice to continue directing the film from a seated position. “I was in a lot of pain, but I felt it was crucial to keep working. My decision to start shooting shocked everyone. I completed more than half of the film while sitting in my chair,” he recounted, reflecting on the balance between personal health and professional commitments.

Anticipation for the Franchise’s Next Chapter

The release of the third installment in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa series is highly anticipated, particularly as it introduces Triptii Dimri to the ensemble. Vidya Balan’s return as the iconic character Manjulika adds an exciting layer to the narrative.
