Angelina Jolie and her former spouse Brad Pitt have officially concluded their divorce arrangements, marking the end of a lengthy process that began when Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016. The announcement was made on December 30, with Jolie’s attorney, James Simon from Hersh Mannis, confirming the settlement to People. Simon noted, “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family. This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”

In a recent interview with W magazine, as part of its Best Performance issue, Jolie expressed her disdain for dishonesty. When asked about her greatest frustrations, she stated, “My pet peeve is somebody who is a liar. Somebody who feels a need to not say the truth or what they want, what they feel.”

Jolie elaborated on the impact of insincerity, stating, “There’s a big version of that—and I’m not trying to be heavy about it—but people who say one thing and mean another, who aren’t completely who they are. I think a lot of people don’t say what they mean.” Though she did not explicitly reference her relationship with Pitt, her comments reveal a strong aversion to falsehoods, which have often been at the center of public speculation regarding their past.

Describing her preparation for the role, Jolie shared, “I had seven months of singing class, Italian class, and opera class. Then, throughout filming, Pablo and the team treated me like a singer—which really meant a lot to me.” She further emphasized the dedication it took to embody Callas, mentioning that she had pianos and coaches constantly available during filming.
