Indie Week has announced the agenda for its 2025 conference, scheduled to take place from June 9 to 12 in New York City, featuring an impressive lineup of keynotes, panels, and workshops.
Highlighting this year’s keynotes are Cherie Hu, the creator of Water & Music, who will delve into the future of technology in the indie music scene, alongside Shira Perlmutter, the U.S. Copyright Office director, and an Apple Music representative yet to be revealed.
Diverse topics will be explored throughout the conference, including the independent music industry’s current landscape, advocacy efforts, the impact of artificial intelligence, global opportunities for artists, catalog management, cultural aspects, wellness, data analytics, distribution strategies, fan engagement, marketing approaches, music journalism’s evolution in 2025, publishing, sampling, streaming, synchronization, sustainability, live touring, and much more. A new addition to this year’s event is IndieVest, a curated series aimed at connecting the financial investment sector with the independent music community. Scheduled for June 11, IndieVest will include a networking mixer, a panel discussion featuring notable figures in music investment, and a pitch competition in collaboration with Triple G Ventures, allowing innovators to showcase their concepts to industry experts, investors, and creators.
