Speculation regarding a shift to a 2026 release gained traction following an ETimes report suggesting that director Anurag Basu might redirect his efforts to his upcoming project, Aashiqui 3, featuring stars Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela. This shift raised questions among fans about Basu’s timeline and focus, especially after the teaser for Aashiqui 3 was released without updates on Metro… In Dino.

However, as production began, I noticed growing excitement and high expectations voiced through social media. I sincerely hope to meet those expectations and had a lot of fun making this film.”
Metro… In Dino, being produced by Bhushan Kumar under the T-Series banner, is anticipated to serve as a spiritual successor to Life in a… Metro, exploring contemporary themes of romance.
