Apoorva Mukhija expresses gratitude to her mother as ‘Till I Say It Is’ surpasses 10 million views following controversy
Apoorva Mukhija, widely recognized as The Rebel Kid, is commemorating a significant achievement. Her latest YouTube video, titled *Till I Say It Is*, has reached over 10 million views, signaling a successful return after the upheaval surrounding the India’s Got Latent controversy. In light of this milestone, Apoorva shared a touching message dedicated to her foremost supporter—her mother.
In her social media post, she included a heartwarming screenshot of a WhatsApp message from her mother congratulating her on this accomplishment. Her mother expressed, “Sai bless you abundantly mera bachcha.” Moved by this display of affection, Apoorva acknowledged her mother as her “biggest blessing” with an emotional response.
Apoorva remarked, “My mom is truly the greatest gift that God has bestowed upon me. I could never say that my luck is terrible because I genuinely won the lottery with my mom. She refreshes YouTube 7-8 times daily just to check when I reach a new milestone. I wouldn’t even know when I was close to hitting a million views, but she ensures she’s the first to congratulate me each time. My mom epitomizes the idea that true support is unyielding and prevalent.”
For context, this video serves as Apoorva’s initial detailed public commentary since the India’s Got Latent incident, where she candidly discussed the trolling she faced, the dark period following the events, and the substantial support she received. She also opened up about receiving disturbing messages, including rape threats, and the subsequent decision to vacate her Mumbai apartment just months after showcasing it in a YouTube house tour.
During the height of the controversy, her legal advisor and manager recommended that she seek refuge at a friend’s residence for her safety. In an earlier vlog, Apoorva shared the toll this situation took on her mental well-being, stating, “Each day brought new challenges. I would experience sleep paralysis out of fear… My friends reached out tirelessly to comfort me, assuring me that everything would eventually be alright.”
