Missing the excitement of The Golden Bachelorette? Netflix is introducing a fresh take on dating for older adults, featuring a series produced by Michelle Obama that offers a unique perspective on finding love later in life. The show has already sparked interest with a promising narrative.
The Later Daters premiered on November 29 and centers around six participants from the Atlanta area who are guided by dating coach Logan Ury in their quest for companionship. Among them is 63-year-old optometrist Suzanne Doty, who is re-entering the dating scene after the loss of her husband, with whom she spent 27 years.
Logan Ury noted in the first episode, “Suzanne found what many people in their lives never find, which is this one great love. For her, it’s about recognizing that perhaps what she seeks now leans more towards companionship or someone to share travel experiences with rather than a romantic culmination.”
