Ariana Grande’s deluxe edition of her album Eternal Sunshine, titled Brighter Days Ahead, has claimed the top spot in this week’s new music poll.
In a poll published on Friday, March 28, by Billboard, fans of the pop icon expressed their preferences, ultimately selecting the updated album, which introduces six fresh tracks to the original release from last year, as their preferred new release.
This week’s poll offered a variety of new music across multiple genres; however, Grande’s latest effort resonated most strongly with listeners, garnering an impressive 50% of the votes. Her album Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead outperformed new works from notable artists including Feid featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Selena Gomez, Playboi Carti, Linkin Park, and Lucy Dacus.
Fans of the pop genre eagerly embraced this extended version, revisiting Grande’s Eternal Sunshine era. The deluxe album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2024, enriches the original narrative by adding six new songs: “Intro (End of the World) – Extended,” “Twilight Zone,” “Warm,” “Dandelion,” “Past Life,” and “Hampstead.” Additionally, listeners can enjoy a short film accompanied by the album, set in the Brighter Days clinic, a location previously featured in Grande’s music video for “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love).” In this cinematic experience, the premise shifts to allow patients to revisit cherished memories rather than erase them.
Trailing behind Grande’s leading album in the polls were Feid featuring Ty Dolla $ign’s track “DALLAX,” which received 20% of the votes, Selena Gomez’s “Stained” with 17%, and Playboi Carti’s Music – Sorry 4 Da Wait, which captured 2% of the votes.
