Ashley Park Expresses Gratitude for Stylist Brad Goreski at Fashion Awards

Ashley Park recently conveyed her heartfelt appreciation for celebrity stylist Brad Goreski during the Daily Front Row’s 9th Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards, held in Beverly Hills on April 24, 2025. The actress, who has faced significant health challenges this year, presented Goreski with the prestigious Style Curator of the Year award.

Reflecting on her health journey, Park, 33, shared that Goreski played a pivotal role in her emotional and physical recovery after she endured a life-threatening bout of septic shock earlier in January. The hospitalization came after a severe case of tonsillitis while vacationing in the Maldives with her boyfriend and fellow actor, Paul Forman.

In her speech, Park recounted her initial struggles during recovery, stating, “I was still battling with my recovery from sepsis, and even if I didn’t want to show it at the time, I was in a really scary and unfamiliar territory with my body. I don’t think I would have mentally and emotionally healed through that time if it wasn’t for his steady hand and sincere support to make me feel comfortable in my own skin again.” This heartfelt acknowledgment emphasized the profound impact Goreski had on her journey.

Park continued to praise Goreski’s approach to styling, highlighting his blend of kindness, compassion, and impeccable taste. Their camaraderie was evident as the pair posed together on the red carpet, with Goreski donning a light brown blazer and Park wearing a vibrant purple minidress, complemented by matching heels.

Before this event, Park had shared insights into her recovery during the Los Angeles premiere of Emily in Paris season 4 in August 2024. She described this period as a “recovery summer,” focusing on regaining her health and wellness. Gardening became a therapeutic outlet for her as she navigated the aftermath of her health scare.

Park’s medical crisis in January 2024 arose from complications due to tonsillitis, which escalated to septic shock—a critical condition characterized by dangerously low blood pressure and potential organ failure stemming from sepsis, as noted by the Mayo Clinic.

Forman, 31, expressed that being by Park’s side during her hospital stay was challenging, yet he emphasized the strong support system he had from medical professionals both in the Maldives and London, which aided in making crucial decisions regarding her care.

Park, who has faced adversity in her life, including a diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia at the age of 15, reflected on her ordeal with septic shock. In an interview, she noted that it felt miraculous to have recovered, acknowledging the improbability of experiencing both serious illnesses at her age. “It’s been kind of a miracle how I’ve recovered,” she said, appreciating the growth she has experienced as an adult compared to her teenage self, particularly in understanding coping mechanisms.

This year’s Fashion Los Angeles Awards not only celebrated sartorial excellence but also highlighted personal triumphs and the importance of support networks, as demonstrated by the bond between Park and Goreski.
