In a recent interaction on social media, Babil addressed fan inquiries, revealing that he has completed two new projects and is eagerly anticipating their release.
In an exchange on Instagram, a fan inquired about upcoming films or web series, complimenting his work in The Railway Men. Babil responded, stating, “I have finished work on two projects, sir; now I can only wait, but I hope you won’t have to wait too long.” Another fan encouraged him to honor his father’s legacy, to which he affirmed, “Yes, sir, the hard work continues.”

Babil made his entry into Bollywood with the film Qala, and his roster continues to expand with his recent participation in The Railway Men, where he shared the screen with actors Kay Kay Menon and R. Madhavan, among others. Looking ahead, he is set to appear in Shoojit Sircar’s The Umesh Chronicles, which will feature the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. This film signifies Shoojit’s fifth collaboration with Bachchan, demonstrating their ongoing creative relationship.
Discussing The Umesh Chronicles, director Shoojit Sircar shared his excitement for the project, stating in an interview, “It’s a beautiful film we wanted to collaborate on with Jakob Ihre, who shot my first film, Yahaan. He has worked on renowned projects like Chernobyl and Spaceman, and we were thrilled to reunite for this beautiful and simple film that evokes nostalgia and captures the essence of growing up in the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s.”
