Metallica, the iconic heavy metal band, is partnering with the American Red Cross to encourage fans to donate blood at various locations during their upcoming M72 World Tour this spring and summer. This initiative reflects the band’s commitment to giving back to the community and supporting those in need.
Through the All Within My Hands foundation, fans will have the opportunity to donate blood in exchange for a special edition t-shirt ahead of Metallica’s concerts. The blood drives will take place in various cities including Nashville, Arlington, Denver, Houston, Atlanta, and Santa Clara, California. A detailed list of these locations and dates is provided below.
Darren Irby, a representative from the Red Cross, expressed gratitude for Metallica’s involvement, noting, “The Red Cross is incredibly appreciative that Metallica is helping fuel the blood supply this summer. The band and their foundation are committed to making every tour stop a better place, and this selfless act of rallying fans to donate blood will leave a lifesaving legacy to so many communities.”
Fans will be able to donate their blood while the crew prepares for the concerts, providing an opportunity to support vital medical services. Contributions from these donations will be essential for trauma patients, cancer patients, those living with sickle cell disease, and new mothers in need of assistance.
Metallica’s U.S. tour will kick off on April 12 in Las Vegas at the Sick New World festival before they continue their cross-country stadium performances. This year, fans will also see a range of supporting acts including Pantera, Suicidal Tendencies, Ice Nine Kills, and Limp Bizkit.
