The featurette showcases insightful commentary from Gunn, Safran, and the principal cast, including David Corenswet as Superman/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern. They delve into the film’s creation and its thematic focus on truth, justice, and the quintessential American values associated with Superman.
Gunn reflects on the lengthy process of developing the story, explaining his journey in uncovering a version of Superman that resonates deeply with him. “This character is noble, and he’s beautiful,” he notes while the footage displays a dramatic scene where Superman is rescued by Krypto the Super Dog, who brings him to the Fortress of Solitude.
