While Ben Affleck has recently shared insights about his separation from Jennifer Lopez, he seems intent on moving forward without dwelling on the past.

According to an insider, “Ben’s doing well. The GQ article was primarily about setting the record straight one final time.” The source emphasized that Affleck has no desire to discuss Lopez any further, noting, “He’s not proud of how their marriage turned out and didn’t want to hurt her. His focus now is on his children and his career.”

The insider also mentioned that Affleck is “very passionate about work” and eager about his future projects, stating that he thrives in a busy environment.

Lopez initiated divorce proceedings against Affleck in August 2024, just two years after they married, and the divorce was finalized in January. Recently, Affleck opened up to British GQ, discussing the intricacies surrounding their breakup, suggesting that the reasons are not as simplistic as many might think.

“There’s a tendency to analyze breakups looking for a singular cause,” Affleck explained. “In reality, the truth is often less dramatic than people may presume.”

Affleck clarified, saying, “There’s no scandal, no soap opera, and no real intrigue involved. It’s not a matter of ‘this is what went wrong.’” He further elaborated, “As one grows older, it becomes evident that there are typically no major events or singular incidents that lead to such outcomes.”

In a conversation with Nikki Glaser for Interview Magazine, she stated, “Being in a relationship doesn’t define me. I am capable of joy and happiness all by myself.”
