The Baywatch actress has expressed her delight over Beyoncé’s recent music video for the track “Bodyguard” from the album Cowboy Carter, in which Beyoncé pays homage to her iconic style.
Beyoncé unveiled the music video on Tuesday, blending themes of Halloween and Election Day while embodying three memorable looks from Pamela Anderson. The actress took to her Instagram stories to share her thoughts, humorously stating, “Don’t call me bey… [kissy face emoji],” alongside a mock movie poster featuring Beyoncé as her character from the 1996 action film Barb Wire. Anderson also shared a snippet of the video showcasing Beyoncé fully embracing her iconic persona.
In the video, Beyoncé channels Anderson’s character from Barb Wire, even depicting a scene where she fires a prop gun displaying a “Vote!” message. This comes in the wake of Beyoncé’s recent endorsement of Kamala Harris during a rally in her hometown of Houston, where she urged young people to engage in the electoral process: “Imagine our daughters growing up seeing what’s possible with no ceilings, no limitations,” she remarked. “We must vote, and we need you.”

In addition to the homage to Anderson, the “Bodyguard” video features Beyoncé wearing a bright red lifeguard uniform reminiscent of Anderson’s in Baywatch, playfully naming it “Beywatch.” She also embraces Anderson’s memorable 1999 MTV Video Music Awards look, characterized by a pink hat ensemble. To engage her fans, Beyoncé posted a photo with a playful red-carpet backdrop declaring “No Visual Awards” alongside the caption “Beylloween fin,” teasing forthcoming visuals related to her album Renaissance.
Over the past few years, Anderson has actively worked to share her narrative through various mediums. On the same date in 2023, both her documentary Pamela, a love story, and memoir Love, Pamela, were released on Netflix. Earlier, in 2022, Hulu premiered the miniseries Pam & Tommy, which fictionalized her tumultuous marriage to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee and the notorious sex tape that was stolen and publicized. Reflecting on the series, Anderson expressed her concerns about the lack of consent, stating, “They should have had to have my permission.”
