Beyoncé Announces Cities for Upcoming Cowboy Carter Tour

Beyoncé has unveiled the initial nine cities set to feature in her much-anticipated Cowboy Carter & the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour. This announcement came soon after she secured the prestigious Grammy Award for Album of the Year. The details were shared in a visually striking poster posted on her Instagram account, although specific dates for the tour have yet to be announced.

The tour is intended to promote her latest album, Cowboy Carter, and is slated to include major cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, London, Paris, Houston, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and Las Vegas. Beyoncé accompanied her Instagram announcement with a caption stating, “She Coming.”

Speculation about the tour had been building over the weekend, especially after a brief clip aired on Netflix ahead of the Beyonce Bowl, followed by her own social media tease. As of now, the exact venues and ticket sale dates remain unconfirmed.

Cowboy Carter is a vibrant tribute to the origins of Black contributions to country music, featuring collaborations with well-known artists like Dolly Parton, Willie Jones, and Shaboozey. Additionally, the album includes noteworthy appearances from Post Malone and Miley Cyrus, while honoring legendary figures such as Willie Nelson and Linda Martell, the latter being a trailblazer in country music as a Black woman.

In her touching acceptance speech at the Grammy Awards, Beyoncé dedicated her accolade to Martell, stating, “I want to dedicate this to Miss Martell, and I’ll just hopefully keep pushing forward, opening doors.” This remark underscores her commitment to honoring those who have paved the way in the industry.

Beyoncé also gave her first live performance of songs from Cowboy Carter during her halftime show at the NFL Christmas Gameday, where she was joined by Malone and Shaboozey, alongside artists Tanner Adell, Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy, and Reyna Roberts. Her dynamic set included popular tracks like “16 Carriages,” “Ya Ya,” “Spaghetti,” “Riiverdance,” “Sweet Honey Buckiin’,” “Levii’s Jeans,” and “Jolene.”

Concluding her recent Renaissance world tour in early October 2023, Beyoncé captivated audiences across the United States and Europe with 56 performances over a span of six months. Following the tour, she released Renaissance: a Film by Beyoncé, further showcasing her artistry and dedication to her music.
