Beyoncé’s recent opening night for the Cowboy Carter tour in Los Angeles turned into a delightful family celebration!
Accompanying her on stage were her daughters, Blue Ivy, aged 13, and Rumi, who is 7 years old, as they performed the song “Protector.” Check out the performance here!
Rumi made her stage debut adorned in a sparkling gold dress paired with cowboy boots. She charmed the audience by striking a pose and beaming smiles during the performance.
This moment held special significance, as Rumi had previously been featured on the song of the same name!
Beyoncé dazzled in a sparkling bodysuit with chaps, while Blue Ivy shone in a glittery ensemble that complemented her mother’s outfit, stepping in as a backup dancer and sharing affectionate moments with her family on stage.
Blue Ivy is no stranger to performing; according to People magazine, she took her first steps into the spotlight as a backup dancer during her mother’s Renaissance tour at the age of 11. She has also started carving out her own path in the music industry, winning her first Grammy at just 9 years old in 2021.
Along with Rumi, Beyoncé and her husband JAY-Z are also the proud parents of their twin son, Sir, who is also 7 years old.
In a candid interview with GQ in 2024, Beyoncé discussed her approach to balancing her family life with her career, stating, “One key aspect I keep striving for is to provide my children with as much normalcy and privacy as I can, preventing my life from becoming merely a brand. It’s all too easy for celebrities to transform their lives into performance art.”
She added her thoughts on touring, saying, “I aim to schedule tours only when my children are out of school. I’ve always envisioned a life where I can explore the world with my family, introducing them to various languages, cultures, and lifestyles.”
