Beyoncé Kicks Off Cowboy Carter Tour in Los Angeles
Beyoncé has officially launched her Cowboy Carter tour, with the opening night taking place at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28. An unexpected highlight during the concert was the appearance of her daughters, Blue Ivy, 13, and Rumi, 7, much to the delight of the audience.
During the performance of “Protector,” which features a charming line from Rumi asking for a lullaby, both girls joined their mother on stage. Rumi was seen smiling and waving to fans while Blue Ivy showcased her dance skills in the background. A heartwarming moment occurred when Blue Ivy embraced Rumi and Beyoncé, embodying the essence of protection. When Rumi appeared overwhelmed, Blue Ivy gently assisted her off the stage.
Fans have humorously labeled Blue Ivy as the unofficial manager of the Knowles family, a notion that her recent stage presence reinforced. Comments poured in on social media, with one fan noting Blue Ivy’s professionalism in keeping the performance organized. Another cheeky remark referred to her subtle guidance towards Rumi as not just sisterly affection but also a sign of her managerial role.
Throughout the concert, Blue Ivy made additional appearances, energetically dancing during tracks like “America Has a Problem” and “Déjà Vu.” She was previously a part of Beyoncé’s 2023 Renaissance tour, where she had faced some criticism regarding her performance. In response, Blue Ivy made a commitment to improve her skills.
In recent months, Blue Ivy has had a busy schedule. After participating in the prequel to The Lion King alongside her mother, she also joined Beyoncé for a memorable NFL halftime show in December, and she made an appearance at the Grammy Awards in February.
