Directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 stars Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri in lead roles.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 premiered in theaters on November 1, 2024, and is now poised for its online debut.
Nearly two months after its theatrical release, Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set to be available for streaming. Netflix India confirmed via its official Instagram that the film will start streaming on December 27, 2024.
In a promotional video shared by Netflix, Kartik Aaryan is featured dashing toward the camera before being startled. The accompanying caption teased, “TUDUM: @kartikaaryan has an X-mas surprise for you! Coming soon.”
The film, directed by Anees Bazmee, combines humor and suspense, continuing its established reputation within the franchise. Although Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 garnered mixed reviews, it achieved notable success at the Indian box office, grossing over Rs 400 crore.
In prior commentary, Anees Bazmee expressed concerns regarding the film’s box office competition with Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again, labeling it an ‘unfortunate’ clash. He noted that both films felt the impact of their simultaneous releases and acknowledged the lack of options for rescheduling the premiere of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Bazmee remarked, “It could have been beneficial for both films without the clash. A solo release would have potentially doubled the business for each. I understand that perspective, but I was not in a position to change anything. We announced our release date over a year in advance. Production was underway at full speed since we completed filming in a relatively short time frame, starting in March and concluding with a November release,” he told Galatta Plus.
He further explained that postponing the release was not feasible due to the pre-planned marketing strategies. “Everyone aimed for a Diwali release, which may have been a necessity for their project as well. While this clash was unfortunate, it’s a reminder that certain factors are beyond our control. Each film follows its own path, influenced by its unique circumstances,” Bazmee concluded.
