Bigg Boss 18 Winner Karan Veer Mehra Reflects on Comparisons with Sidharth Shukla
Karan Veer Mehra, recently crowned as the winner of Bigg Boss 18, has shared his thoughts regarding frequent comparisons drawn between him and the late Sidharth Shukla, who was the winner of Bigg Boss 13. Karan’s triumph not only brought him the cherished title but also positioned him as the second contestant in history, following Sidharth, to clinch victories in both Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Karan’s Journey and Comparisons with a Legend

“Bahut acha ladka tha wo. Mera dost tha. Humne kaafi zyada time spend nahi kiya but we knew each other very well. Main khush hu ki mujhe ussey compare kiya jaa raha hai. Wo dil ka bahut bada insaan tha (He was a great guy, my friend. We didn’t spend a lot of time together, but we knew each other well. I’m happy to be compared to him. He was a big-hearted man),” Karan reflected.
He shared a touching anecdote, saying, “I remember main jab naya aaya tha Bombay toh uske paas ek bahut expensive bike thi. Maine request kiya tha ki mujhe photoshoot karna hai apne portfolio ke liye toh main kya teri bike ke paas khada ho kar click karwa lu? Wo neechay aa kar apni keys de gaya and usne bola ki back road pe chalaate hue photos lele. Itni mehengi bike agar koi aise hi dost ko dede toh aap samajh sakte ho dil kitna bada tha uska. I miss him. I wish I could share this moment with him (When I was new in Mumbai, he had an expensive bike. I requested him, saying I needed a portfolio photoshoot and asked if I could pose near his bike. He came down, handed me the keys, and said, ‘Take photos while riding it on the back road.’ If someone can casually lend such a costly bike to a friend, you can imagine how big-hearted he was. I miss him and wish I could share this moment with him).”
Karan’s experience in Bigg Boss 18 was not without its challenges. He faced criticism from fellow contestants, enduring comments aimed at his age and personal life. Nevertheless, his unwavering friendship with contestant Chum Darang became one of the standout aspects of the season, earning admiration from viewers.
