Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley have officially confirmed their romantic relationship via social media.
The 59-year-old star of The Royals and the 63-year-old country music artist known for Achy Breaky Heart shared this happy news on April 20. They posted a playful image where Cyrus, donning bunny ears, plants a kiss on Hurley’s cheek, captioned simply, “Happy Easter,” on both their Instagram accounts.
Damian Hurley, Hurley’s 23-year-old son from her relationship with businessman Steve Bing, expressed his approval by commenting on the post with a red heart emoji.
Earlier on April 9, Hurley hinted at a vacation with Cyrus by tagging him and a resort in the Maldives in a social media post where she shared her time in the water. She also included a reference to Cyrus’ song, She’s Not Cryin’ Anymore, while describing the sunset as, “The most glorious sunset in the glorious Maldives.”
The two stars had previously shared the screen in the 2022 holiday film, Christmas in Paradise. Hurley showcased their camaraderie by posting a video from a photoshoot for the film that featured both Cyrus and Kelsey Grammer, noting in her caption how delightful it was to work alongside them.
In an interview with Movieweb, Hurley expressed enthusiasm for taking part in the film, particularly due to her admiration for Grammer and her long-time fandom of Cyrus. “My son was at the right age to be a fan of Hannah Montana, so I watched it along with him. I was quite familiar with Billy Ray before this project, making it even more exciting,” she remarked.
This new chapter in Hurley’s life follows her notable relationships; she was previously married to businessman Arun Nayar from 2007 until their divorce in 2011. Before that, she had a long-term relationship with actor Hugh Grant for 13 years, which ended in 2000, and was also engaged to Shane Warne, the famed Australian cricketer who passed away in 2022 at age 52.
Cyrus, on the other hand, has his share of relationship history as well. After a lengthy marriage to Tish Cyrus that lasted from 1993 to their divorce in 2022, he welcomed five children: daughters Brandi, Miley, and Noah, as well as sons Trace and Braison. Additionally, he shares son Christopher Cody with Kristen Luckey.
Following his split from Tish, Cyrus entered into a brief marriage with Australian singer Firerose, which lasted seven months. Their divorce was finalized in August 2024, amid allegations of irreconcilable differences and troubling claims of abusive behavior from both parties during the proceedings.
