Black Eyed Peas Cancel Planned Las Vegas Residency for 2025

The Black Eyed Peas have announced the cancellation of their upcoming residency in Las Vegas, initially set for 2025.

On January 19, the band revealed the news via their Instagram Story, stating that performances at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s PH Live would not proceed due to “current circumstances.”

In their message to fans, affectionately termed “Peabodies,” the Black Eyed Peas expressed regret over the situation. “It is with a heavy heart that, in light of current circumstances, our Las Vegas shows will not be moving forward as planned,” they noted.

The trio, consisting of will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo, assured fans that “Ticket providers will issue full refunds automatically” and encouraged followers to stay updated on future performances, expressing eagerness to reunite with audiences soon.

The residency, first announced in September 2024 and titled Black Eyed Peas: 3008 The Las Vegas Experience, was slated to kick off on February 15 at PH Live. The original plan included 15 concerts in the venue, which has a capacity of 7,000, spread out over three separate runs concluding in May.

During the original announcement, will.i.am described this as the group’s first residency in Las Vegas, providing an opportunity for innovation in their performance style. “We draw inspiration from Disney rides, Las Vegas shows, concerts, AI, and technology,” he stated. “We will reinvent how we perform, creating an interactive show, a journey to 3008 that is both a concert and a play. I can’t wait for the world to see what we cook up in Las Vegas.” Such enthusiasm hints at the group’s commitment to developing a unique experience for their fans.

Billboard has reached out to the representatives of Black Eyed Peas for further insights regarding the cancellation.

The Black Eyed Peas last released an album titled Elevation in 2022. Additionally, in May, they debuted the song “Tonight” featuring El Alfa and Becky G, which is part of the Bad Boys: Ride or Die soundtrack.
