The latest installment of the Black Ops series, Black Ops 6, introduces the Archie’s Festival Frenzy event, offering players a chance to earn complimentary holiday-themed rewards. Additionally, zombies await players in the revamped Liberty Falls setting, now embellished with elements from the festive Jingle Hells mode.
Initially featured in Black Ops Cold War’s Die Maschine, Jingle Hells returns in this new title with more than just aesthetic changes. The latest limited-time mode (LTM) brings various new features to enhance difficulty, facilitate access to new GobbleGums, and immerse players in the holiday ambiance.
Here’s a comprehensive overview of what players can expect in the Jingle Hells LTM for Black Ops 6 Zombies.
Jingle Hells LTM Release Date
The Jingle Hells mode officially launched on December 17. While Treyarch has not specified an expiration date for this event, players are encouraged to dive in while the opportunity lasts.
Gameplay Changes in Jingle Hells
Liberty Falls Main Quest
Players can still pursue the primary quest in Liberty Falls during Jingle Hells, but they should prepare for increased challenge due to several newly integrated mechanics. However, the completion rewards for this quest will remain standard, as confirmed by the developers.
Missing Features
Notably absent from Jingle Hells are the Mystery Box, Crafting Tables, and Arsenal Machines. Nonetheless, there are numerous new holiday-themed mechanics introduced to provide fresh gameplay experiences.
Holiday Cheer Gobblegum
A new Gobblegum, named Holiday Cheer, has been introduced with the Jingle Hells event. Unlike other Gobblegums, this one adds festive decorations to the zombies instead of providing a gameplay advantage. Players can collect this item across any of the three maps, with Jingle Hells offering the best opportunities to obtain it.

Snowballs
Similar to the mechanics in Nuketown Holiday, players can collect snowballs scattered throughout Liberty Falls. These snowballs replace lethal equipment and can be hurled at zombies, inflicting substantial damage.
Naughty or Nice Power-Up
Players will encounter the Naughty or Nice Power-Up, represented as a large floating stocking, within Liberty Falls. Depending on player actions, it could either drop presents or spawn additional zombie enemies, introducing an element of unpredictability.
Snowmen
Scattered throughout Liberty Falls, snowmen may contain valuable loot or concealed zombies. Players are advised to explore these snowy sentinels while remaining vigilant.
Present Boxes
Zombies have a chance to drop Present Boxes that promise “gifts that keep on giving.” The specifics of these rewards remain to be fully revealed, but players are encouraged to watch for these drops. Furthermore, the Trial Computers have been decked out for the holiday season, complementing the festive atmosphere.
Frozen Rounds
The cold environment presents new challenges as players must confront Frozen Rounds, which can hinder outdoor movement and reaction times. To mitigate this effect, players are advised to seek shelter indoors.
Additionally, players can earn the new AMR Mod 4 Sniper Rifle through the Archie’s Festival Frenzy event. Plans are also in place for a collaboration themed around Squid Game, set to launch in January.
