Bloober Team Announces New Game I Hate This Place, Slated for Release in Q4 2025 on Multiple PlatformsI Hate This Place Draws Inspiration from Award-Nominated Comic SeriesThe Studio Teases Upcoming Title Cronos: The New Dawn with New Development Diary

Bloober Team, renowned for its work on the Silent Hill 2 remake and the acclaimed Layers of Fear series, has announced its latest venture into the horror genre with the upcoming game I Hate This Place. This title is inspired by the Eisner award-nominated comic series from Skybound Entertainment, authored by Kyle Starks with illustrations by Artyom Topilin. The game is set to launch in Q4 2025 and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, developed in collaboration with Rock Square Thunder.

During the Future Games Show Spring Showcase, Bloober Team revealed a captivating teaser that showcases the game as an isometric survival horror experience, characterized by a striking visual aesthetic reminiscent of 1980s comic book artwork. Players will navigate the harrowing story as Elena, who inadvertently awakens a dark entity known as the Horned Man.

In I Hate This Place, players are thrust into a perilous environment where they must devise strategies to survive against relentless adversaries. The gameplay emphasizes quick thinking and clever manipulation of the surroundings to level the playing field against the formidable Horned Man. Players will encounter tense confrontations combining gunfights and melee combat, rewarding creativity and strategy rather than sheer force. Crafting tools will be essential to endure the wilderness, and players must reach designated safehouses before night descends, as the game features a dynamic day and night cycle that significantly influences the gameplay experience.

In addition to I Hate This Place, Bloober Team is gearing up for the release of another title, Cronos: The New Dawn, which is set to be unveiled later this year on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. To create excitement for this upcoming game, the studio has shared an early glimpse of the initial episode of its development diary, offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at the survival horror adventure through new gameplay footage.

The dev diary promises insight into the game world, mechanics, protagonist details, and the various monsters players will confront. Cronos: The New Dawn, revealed in October 2024, is positioned as a distinctive horror journey integrating elements of mystery, time travel, and intense survival action.
