Blue Jays Option Utility Player Davis Schneider to Triple-A
TORONTO – The Toronto Blue Jays have made a notable roster move by optioning utility player Davis Schneider to Triple-A Buffalo, as confirmed by the team on Thursday.
The 26-year-old infielder has struggled to find his rhythm at the plate this season, posting a batting average of just .067 over 10 games and 15 at-bats. Schneider has recorded a single hit, one run batted in (RBI), and has touched home plate twice during his stint with the Blue Jays.
Last season, Schneider had a more productive showing, hitting .191 across 135 games, where he managed to connect for 13 home runs and drive in 46 runs. Despite a challenging start this season, the organization remains hopeful that time in Triple-A will provide him with the opportunity to regain his form and contribute effectively in the future.
