Recently, Broski filmed an episode of her popular digital series, Royal Court, where celebrity guests, including Charli XCX and Maren Morris, vie for a position on her “medieval council.” This ongoing success follows her rise to fame with a kombucha tasting video that turned into a viral sensation. Broski has adeptly transformed that moment into lasting online recognition.

Alongside Royal Court, she runs her podcast, The Broski Report, which features discussions on trending topics and personal anecdotes (check out a recent episode: “Left My Gallbladder In Italy”). One notable moment includes her humorous take on throwing to her own on-the-spot correspondent—the iconic Timothée Chalamet.

Last month, Broski unveiled a different facet of her talents, showcasing the dimension her community—affectionately named Broski Nation, which boasts 2 million Instagram followers and 7.6 million on TikTok—has yet to fully explore.

On March 20, she shared a reimagined cover of Harry Styles’ “Adore You,” featuring a visually captivating live video where she appeared not as a court figure or news anchor, but as a renaissance-inspired pop star.

Continuing this artistic evolution, Broski is set to launch her debut single “The Sun” on April 4. Described as a soulful rock ballad, this song is a testament to her vision and intentions in music, marking a significant milestone in her creative journey.

Broski collaborated with songwriter/producer Luke Niccoli, along with fellow writers SXSSY and Emily Haber on “The Sun.” She expressed that the track encapsulates the whimsical yet earthy sound she aims to achieve: “It blends ethereal vibes with a raw, gritty rock essence,” she says.

“I believe it’s crucial to explore every opportunity in life,” Broski reflects. “Although it hasn’t been a straightforward path, I feel this moment has finally come together as it was meant to, and I’m excited for what lies ahead. We’ve just begun to uncover the potential.”

You grew up participating in theater and improv—when did you first recognize your vocal talent?

My early experiences in a church environment and the influence of my grandmother, who has an incredible voice, shaped my love for music. I’ve always connected with classic rock and blues from the ‘50s and ‘60s—including artists like The Mamas & the Papas and The Beatles—sounds that have greatly influenced my musical taste today.

I remember when I signed with my label during the pandemic; they asked about my musical style. I told them it’s a mix of Hozier, Florence + the Machine, and Chris Stapleton, which accurately reflects what materialized in the studio. Realizing my identity as an artist was liberating and the resulting sound was a harmonious blend of my influences.

What was it like signing with Atlantic? How did you present your vision?

When the offer came from my A&R during the pandemic, it felt surreal. They expressed admiration for my videos, and we connected over a call. I presented my artistic vision through a meticulously crafted Pinterest board and Canva presentation, showcasing a whimsical “renaissance woman” aesthetic that encapsulated my persona. This concept has only deepened as we bring my project to life, blending magic and whimsy into the ordinary.

With your diverse projects, how do they support and influence each other?

I believe it would be a disservice to abandon the array of creative outlets that my fans, and I, have come to cherish. My intention is to merge them rather than allowing one to overshadow the other. Music is simply another avenue for expression that complements my other endeavors.

What are the challenges and advantages of having a large following prior to your music debut?

The advantages are abundant; in theory, I could release anything and still attract attention. However, this also brings expectations and preconceived notions about my identity and artistry. It’s a challenge that enhances my drive, reminding me that while people think they know me, my true depth remains to be explored.

Many fans expressed shock at your recent cover of “Adore You.”

Exactly—it’s a chance to showcase a different side of myself.

How did the fans’ surprised reactions impact you?

It felt empowering. This project represents the diversity and nuances of women, which mirrors the layers we exhibit in life. I’m thrilled to reveal the unexpected aspects of my artistry and talents, fueling my creativity for future endeavors.

Can you elaborate on “The Sun” as your first original track?

While most of my music was created in Nashville, this particular piece came together in Los Angeles. It emerged from the frustration of feeling unappreciated despite all the self-growth I’ve undergone. My experience fueled the writing process, resulting in what I believe is an ideal introduction to my sound and what audiences can anticipate going forward.

How do you plan to celebrate the song’s release?

I might indulge in a bit of relaxation, perhaps watch some documentaries or binge-watch a series and wind down for an early night.

Can you share what’s next beyond “The Sun”?

A larger body of work is in the pipeline, complete with extensive promotional plans. It’s vital that my audience comprehends the mindset behind this record. I’ve been deeply involved in the creation, collaborating closely with my writers and earning production credits on several tracks. This music is intensely personal, offering a more in-depth look at my life compared to what I’ve previously shared on my podcast. I aim to build a strong sense of community with my audience, highlighting elements of my journey that resonate with them.
