Broadway Bares Returns for a Night of Dazzling Performances
Get ready for a captivating evening as Broadway Bares makes its much-anticipated return with two electrifying performances on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. The event, known for its world-class choreography and scintillating striptease acts, is organized by Broadway Cares and promises to be a spectacular highlight of the NYC Pride Week festivities. Tickets for this year’s event go on sale today, with the show’s theme set to be unveiled this spring.
Scheduled for 9:30 PM and midnight, these shows will kick off Pride Week in a flamboyant fashion, featuring a lineup of mesmerizing production numbers that showcase extraordinary talent. Attendees can reminisce about last year’s vibrant performances by viewing the accompanying photo gallery.
Excitement abounds in the lead-up to the event, especially for Kellen Stancil, the director of Broadway Bares, who expressed his enthusiasm for returning to this role for a second consecutive year. Stancil, who is also the dance supervisor for the national tour of The Lion King, remarked, “I am thrilled to celebrate this iconic tradition while introducing fresh and exhilarating surprises this year. Having been part of Broadway Bares from various roles over the last decade, there’s nothing quite like the experience of being on stage, feeling the energy of the audience, and contributing to a cause that makes a significant difference.”
Danny Whitman, the executive director of Broadway Cares, emphasized the event’s impact beyond entertainment. “Every performance, every ounce of creativity on display represents far more than a night of fun; it transforms into crucial resources—meals, medical support, and hope—for individuals within our theatrical community and beyond, including those facing health challenges across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and Washington, D.C.,” he stated.
Tickets for Broadway Bares start at $75, with VIP options available for those seeking a premium experience. The VIP tickets include unlimited specialty cocktails and reserved seating. The exclusive “Stripper Spectacular” package offers a premium reserved table, a backstage tour, and an invitation to a special cocktail party hosted by Jerry Mitchell, the Tony Award-winning creator and executive producer of Broadway Bares. Additionally, the “Barest Insider Experience” includes similar perks, alongside access to the final rehearsal of the evening.
Alongside Stancil, Paula DeLuise will serve as the associate director for the event. Executive producers include both Mitchell and Nick Kenkel, a seasoned director and performer within Broadway Bares.
Broadway Bares originated in 1992, conceived by Mitchell during his days as a dancer on Broadway. To raise awareness and funds for individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, Mitchell and a group of fellow dancers performed atop a bar in New York City, raising $8,000 in their inaugural event.
Last year’s sold-out show, titled Broadway Bares: Hit the Strip, transported audiences to the dazzling world of Las Vegas and raised an impressive $2.26 million, bringing the total funds raised by Broadway Bares to an astounding $28.7 million, all benefiting Broadway Cares.
