Bruce Springsteen is set to release a collection of new albums this summer, featuring an impressive array of “never-before-heard” songs. The collection, titled “Tracks II: The Lost Albums,” will include seven full-length albums that have remained unreleased from 1983 to 2018, as detailed in a recent post on Springsteen’s social media.
“I’m glad you’ll get a chance to finally hear them”
The upcoming albums will showcase a total of 82 unreleased tracks, featuring 74 songs that fans have yet to experience, according to information on Springsteen’s official website. “The Lost Albums” are described as complete records, with some tracks even mixed and ready for release. Springsteen expressed his excitement, stating, “I’ve played this music to myself and often close friends for years now. I’m glad you’ll get a chance to finally hear them. I hope you enjoy them.”
In a trailer released on YouTube, Springsteen elaborated on the significance of these albums. He reflected on the narrative surrounding his career in the 1990s, saying, “I often read about myself in the ’90s as having some ‘lost’ period or something. And really, I was working the whole time. During the pandemic, what I did for that period of time was I finished everything I had in my vault.”
“Tracks II: The Lost Albums” is scheduled for release on June 27 through Sony Music, marking a highly anticipated moment for both longtime fans and newcomers to Springsteen’s music.
