He previously held a position on this list with his other popular solo release of 2025, Sweet Dreams which ranked at No. 66.

J-Hope’s Mona Lisa was released on March 21.

BTS member J-Hope has recently made waves in the music industry with his new single, Mona Lisa, which was released on March 21. The track has quickly ascended the Billboard Hot 100, debuting at No. 65 on March 31. This impressive feat not only marks J-Hope’s return to the charts but also ties him with fellow BTS member Jungkook for the record of most entries on the Hot 100 by a K-pop solo artist. Mona Lisa surpasses J-Hope’s previous solo release, Sweet Dreams, which debuted at No. 66 earlier in 2025, establishing a new high for K-pop solo debuts this year.

With the success of Mona Lisa, J-Hope now has a total of seven songs on the Billboard Hot 100, matching Jungkook’s record. Following them, BTS members V and Jimin, along with BLACKPINK’s Jennie, have each made six appearances on the chart. J-Hope’s prior singles that have entered the Hot 100 include Chicken Noodle Soup (No. 81), More (No. 82), Arson (No. 96), on the street (No. 60), and LV Bag (No. 83).

Mona Lisa blends hip-hop and R&B elements, where J-Hope creatively draws comparisons between a person’s captivating appeal and the beauty of Leonardo da Vinci’s renowned painting. The underlying theme of the song stresses that true beauty emanates from within, transcending mere physical attributes.

According to Billboard, Mona Lisa garnered an impressive 90% of the votes in the competitive landscape of recent music releases. Competing tracks included I Said I Love You First by Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, Just Us by Jack Harlow and Doja Cat, Love Me to Heaven by the Jonas Brothers, and I’m a Little Crazy and Just in Case by Morgan Wallen.

Moreover, Mona Lisa debuted at number one on the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart, securing its place as the best-selling song in the United States for the week. Internationally, it also made its mark with a No. 9 debut on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 14 on the Global 200. Additionally, J-Hope reentered Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 29, celebrating his 14th week on the chart as a solo artist.

In parallel to his musical achievements, J-Hope’s “HOPE ON THE STAGE” tour in North America is set to conclude with final performances in Los Angeles on April 4 and 6 at BMO Stadium. Following these concerts, he will head to Asia, starting with shows in Manila on April 12-13, and continuing to Siatama (April 19-20), Singapore (April 26-27), and more cities thereafter.
