Cassie Ventura, aged 38, and her husband Alex Fine, 31, are set to welcome a new addition to their family. The singer made the announcement via Instagram, where she shared a black-and-white maternity photograph featuring their daughters, Frankie, 5, and Sunny, 3. In her Instagram caption, Cassie alluded to the possibility of having a boy by including a pregnancy emoji, a blue heart, and the number 3, suggesting a hint about the gender of the baby. Alex also expressed his joy by posting a photo with the caption, “Best gift I could ask for.”
This uplifting news comes just over a year after Cassie filed a lawsuit against her former partner, Sean “Diddy” Combs, alleging serious accusations including rape, physical abuse, and sex trafficking during their decade-long relationship. The lawsuit was resolved in a single day, yet it reflects a distressing chapter in Cassie’s life.
In May 2024, CNN unveiled a graphic video showing Combs assaulting Ventura in 2016. The footage depicts Cassie leaving their hotel suite and attempting to enter an elevator at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, as Combs pursues her wearing only a towel. The video shows him violently confronting her, raising significant concerns around the nature of their relationship.
After the video’s release, Combs issued a public apology on Instagram. He stated, “My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted. I was disgusted then, when I did it, I’m disgusted now… I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to being a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness.”

Meanwhile, Combs faces additional legal troubles. He was arrested in September and is currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, awaiting a trial scheduled for May 2025. He has pleaded not guilty to charges related to racketeering, conspiracy, sex trafficking, and other crimes, firmly denying any wrongdoing.
