Broadway’s Upcoming Musical Highlights: Just in Time and Real Women Have Curves

Just in Time has garnered attention with a recent performance by star Gracie Lawrence on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where she delivered a rendition of “Who’s Sorry Now,” a classic made famous by Connie Francis, the role Lawrence embodies in the new musical. In addition to Just in Time, Broadway will soon welcome another compelling narrative: Real Women Have Curves, set to debut this April at the James Earl Jones Theater. The musical, which provides a humorous and uplifting perspective on the lives of its characters, unfolds in the summer of 1987. The story revolves around Ana Garcia, an ambitious young woman in East Los Angeles who navigates her aspirations against the backdrop of family obligations and community resilience. Faced with the task of creating 200 dresses for an important order, Ana finds herself at a crossroads, balancing personal dreams and familial expectations.
