J-Hope Shines on The Tonight Show with New Single “Sweet Dreams”
J-Hope made a memorable appearance on The Tonight Show, where he showcased his latest single “Sweet Dreams” in collaboration with Miguel. The performance delivered a captivating blend as the two artists took center stage, harmonizing over a soulful beat that resonated with fans.
This marks J-Hope’s first foray back into music following his completion of mandatory military service in South Korea. The release of the track was highly anticipated, with J-Hope teasing fans through social media with snippets and exclusive images from the music video beginning in February.
During his conversation with host Jimmy Fallon, J-Hope reflected on his musical journey and the influence that BTS’s dedicated fanbase, known as ARMY, had on the creation of “Sweet Dreams.” He expressed his admiration for Miguel, stating, “Miguel is an artist I’ve respected very much since I was a kid. I’ve always wanted to meet and work with him. Just like how ARMY inspires me, my constant gratitude for ARMY led me to a sweet track like this one.”
In a further revelation, J-Hope shared his aspiration to collaborate with renowned rapper Kendrick Lamar, emphasizing, “I want to meet Kendrick Lamar. I’m ready [to] work with you Kendrick.”
Currently, J-Hope is on tour with his solo venture, Hope on the Street, with plans to wrap up the tour in Japan by June 2025. During the interview, he expressed enthusiasm, stating, “I’m ready and you guys are ready!” He credited his prior success at Lollapalooza as a pivotal factor leading to this upcoming tour, noting, “There is a great synergy between them.”
In a lighthearted moment, J-Hope also made an appearance during Fallon’s monologue, bringing joy to the audience with his spontaneous dancing, much to their delight.
Discussing his new release and time in the military, J-Hope shared insights in an interview with Rolling Stone. He acknowledged the unexpected opportunities for reflection that his military service provided, stating, “I think the period of rest that naturally came with the situation actually became an opportunity for more exploration… I found a lot of new inspiration and got to spend much time thinking about the future.”
With regard to his tour, he expressed confidence that Hope on the Stage will encapsulate the essence of his artistry, declaring, “I believe Hope on the Stage is the tour that will show every facet of who I am. It’s a window into the full scope of J-Hope.”
