Lucy Dacus made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (January 15), captivating the audience with a live rendition of her latest single “Ankles.” Accompanied by a string section, Dacus graced the stage in the striking red gown featured in her recently released music video for the same song. This performance marked an exciting moment for fans, as it coincides with the announcement of her upcoming album, Forever Is a Feeling, which she unveiled yesterday.
Scheduled for release on March 28 under Geffen Records, Forever Is a Feeling promises to stir anticipation among her dedicated following. Alongside “Ankles,” Dacus has also introduced another track titled “Limerence,” both of which continue to showcase her unique musical style. This new album follows her critically acclaimed 2021 project, Home Video, and expands her artistic horizon with the inclusion of contributions from her Boygenius collaborators, Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker, as well as notable artists such as Hozier, Blake Mills, Bartees Strange, Madison Cunningham, Collin Pastore, Jake Finch, and Melina Duterte of Jay Som.
Additionally, Dacus has planned a tour in support of Forever Is a Feeling set to kick off in April. In a commendable move, she has committed to donating $1 from every ticket sold to the Plus1 LA Fires Fund, supporting efforts for those impacted by recent wildfires. This initiative reflects her dedication not only to her music but also to her community and social causes.
