Gayle King is poised for a groundbreaking journey as she has been announced as a member of the crew for Blue Origin’s next mission to the edge of space. The flight, notable for its all-female lineup, is slated to take off in the upcoming spring season.
Joining Gayle King on this significant mission are several notable figures, including pop music sensation Katy Perry, journalist and entrepreneur Lauren Sánchez, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, civil rights advocate Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerianne Flynn.
This upcoming launch will represent the 11th crewed flight of Blue Origin’s New Shepard program. To date, the program has facilitated the journeys of 52 individuals, all of whom have crossed the Kármán line, approximately 62 miles above Earth, a recognized boundary that delineates the start of outer space.
