Upcoming Launch of Nothing Phone 3: What to Expect
The Nothing Phone 3 is set to hit the market in the upcoming months as confirmed by Carl Pei, the founder and CEO of the innovative UK-based tech company, Nothing. This new smartphone will serve as the successor to the Nothing Phone 2, which debuted in 2023. While the Nothing Phone 3 was originally anticipated to launch last year, delays occurred due to the company shifting focus towards the development of personalized artificial intelligence features. In the interim, Nothing released several mid-range models, including the Phone 2a and Phone 2a Plus.
Launch Timeline of Nothing Phone 3
During a recent interactive session on X (previously known as Twitter), Pei outlined the expected launch timeline for the Nothing Phone 3. He revealed that the device is scheduled for release in the third quarter of 2025, which suggests a window between July and September. This timeframe aligns with the historical launch periods of previous models. For reference, the Nothing Phone 2 made its debut on July 11, 2023, and the original Nothing Phone 1 launched on July 21, 2022.
Although specifics about the Nothing Phone 3 remain sparse, it is believed to continue the design trend of its predecessor, featuring a striking transparent rear panel with the distinct Glyph lighting system. Additionally, it may incorporate advanced AI capabilities, reflecting the company’s strategic shift towards more personalized user experiences.
While detailed specifications have not yet emerged, the Nothing Phone 2 offers insights into what might be expected. It operates on a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, carries up to 12GB of RAM, and provides storage options of up to 512GB. Its expansive 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, catering to high-end user demands.
In terms of camera systems, the Nothing Phone 2 showcases a dual rear camera arrangement, featuring a 50-megapixel primary lens paired with another 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, along with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. Furthermore, it is powered by a robust 4,700mAh battery that supports fast charging at 47W via wired and 15W wirelessly.
