Alia Bhatt Set to Star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War Alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal

Recently, Alia celebrated filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s birthday alongside her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, and co-star Vicky Kaushal. The trio, who are set to appear together in Bhansali’s forthcoming film Love and War, took some time from their night shoot to join the festivities. Vicky Kaushal, currently starring in Chhaava, celebrated the success of his film by cutting a cake during the event. For the occasion, Alia donned a cream top paired with matching trousers and stylish heels.

Following her successful collaboration with Bhansali on Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia is reuniting with the acclaimed director for Love and War. Notably, this film marks Ranbir Kapoor’s first project with Bhansali since his debut in Saawariya in 2007.
The film was officially announced in January 2024 with the teaser: “We Bring You Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Epic Saga ‘Love & War.’ See You At The Movies Christmas 2025.” Although specifics about the plot remain limited, early reports suggest the film may echo the themes of the beloved 1964 classic Sangam, featuring Raj Kapoor, Vyjayanthimala, and Rajendra Kumar.
There are also rumors that Deepika Padukone, a regular in Bhansali’s projects, might make a special appearance in the film. Initially set for a Christmas 2025 release, the premiere date for Love and War has now been shifted to March 20, 2026.
