New Neil Young Tribute Album Features Fiona Apple’s Cover
Cinema Music Group and Killphonic Records have unveiled the tribute album titled Heart of Gold: The Songs of Neil Young, Vol. 1. This compilation includes a notable rendition of Young’s classic 1972 track “Heart of Gold” performed by singer-songwriter Fiona Apple. The album boasts a total of 14 tracks from various artists who pay homage to Young’s prolific musical contributions.
Fiona Apple’s rendition of “Heart of Gold” was co-produced alongside Dave Palmer. The arrangement features Palmer contributing on piano, with Reggie Hamilton on bass and Joey Waronker on drums, showcasing a blend of talent that adds a fresh perspective to the beloved classic.
All proceeds from Heart of Gold: The Songs of Neil Young, Vol. 1 will support the Bridge School, a nonprofit organization co-founded by Neil Young’s late ex-wife, Pegi Young.
