New footage featuring Eva Noblezada has been released for Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club on Broadway. In this new video, Noblezada, taking on the role of ‘Sally Bowles,’ performs the number “Mein Herr” and shares her insights about embodying this legendary character.
Reflecting on her portrayal, the star of the recent Great Gatsby adaptation described Sally as someone embarking on a personal journey of self-discovery. “She’s trying to find herself in some way,” Noblezada said. “When she meets Cliff, she sees who she could be; that journey is paramount, and I’ll leave it here, as you’ll want to see how it unfolds throughout the show.”
Noblezada is currently starring in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, sharing the stage with acclaimed country artist Orville Peck in the role of ‘Emcee.’ The production is set for a brief 16-week run at the August Wilson Theatre, concluding on July 20, 2024.
The cast also includes notable talent such as Calvin Leon Smith as ‘Clifford Bradshaw,’ Steven Skybell, a 2024 Tony Award nominee, portraying ‘Herr Schultz,’ Ellen Harvey as ‘Fraulein Schneider,’ Henry Gottfried as ‘Ernst Ludwig,’ and Michelle Aravena playing ‘Fritzie/Kost.’
Joining the second year company are Gabi Campo as ‘Frenchie,’ Jada Simone Clark as ‘Helga,’ Colin Cunliffe as ‘Hans,’ and several others, including swings and ensemble members who enrich the production’s dynamic.
The Prologue Company, comprising dancers and musicians who create an electrifying atmosphere, features Sun Kim and Deja McNair-Kyles among its dancers, with instrumentalists like Brian Russell Carey on piano and bass, and Francesca Dawis on violin.
