Nilüfer Yanya has released a new track titled “Cold Heart.” This song, co-written with her collaborator Wilma Archer, is part of a series of tracks that Yanya revisited following the conclusion of her recent tour. Notably, “Cold Heart” marks her first new material since the release of her latest album, My Method Actor, which debuted last year.

“This one turned out pretty different to how I imagined it,” Yanya remarked regarding the song. “The initial melody felt very spacious, like there’s room for anything to happen. It felt like a kind of experiment.” This statement highlights her evolving artistic process and willingness to explore new sonic landscapes.

As summer approaches, Yanya has a packed touring schedule ahead, promoting My Method Actor. She is set to perform at notable festivals such as Glastonbury, Green Man, and All Points East, among others, showcasing her talent to a wider audience.

Additionally, My Method Actor has received acclaim, recently ranking No. 13 in “The 50 Best Albums of 2024,” further solidifying Yanya’s position as a significant figure in contemporary music.
