Five Naples Residents Arrested for Drug Trafficking and Possession
Recently, five individuals in Naples were taken into custody for drug-related offenses while children were present in their homes.
The arrests were made by the Naples Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit in collaboration with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Bureau, following a series of investigations and execution of search warrants.
According to reports, officers conducted surveillance on a residence located on the 500 block of 13th Street North in the River Park East neighborhood. Their observations led to the arrest of Dunneback and Salters, noted in the arrest report.
A search of their home resulted in the discovery of multiple bags containing illegal substances, including heroin, cocaine, and marijuana. The significant amount of heroin located in a freezer contributed to charges of drug trafficking and possession against the two suspects.
In the adjacent home, officers found Perry, Wright, and Martin, where additional narcotics and paraphernalia indicative of drug sales were uncovered. Both Perry and Wright faced various possession charges as a result.
Moreover, Martin, a convicted felon, was charged with possession of a firearm, as several guns were found in his possession during the investigation.
The Naples Police Department highlighted that several children were present in both residences, leading to intervention by the Department of Children and Families, which took custody of the minors.
Naples Police Chief Ciro Dominguez emphasized the severity of the situation: “When children are forced to live in these dangerous environments, it’s not just illegal — it’s unacceptable,” he stated in a statement regarding the arrests.
