Chipotle launches ‘Ingredient Quest’ Roblox game

As part of its promotional strategy, Chipotle introduced ‘Ingredient Quest’—a game designed to familiarize players with the brand’s 53 real ingredients while incentivizing them with the chance to earn a complimentary burrito.

Chipotle’s Burrito Builder game is set to launch at 3 PM PT on May 5, 2025.

Here’s an overview of how the game functions:

  • Players will interact with an employee in the virtual “Burrito Builder Experience.”
  • New participants will start with a starter pack featuring five distinctive ingredient cards aimed at collecting all 53.
  • Players must roll burritos to accumulate Burrito Bucks, which can be exchanged for additional card packs.
  • 40 ingredients are obtainable via card packs, while an additional eight can be discovered through a virtual scavenger hunt.
  • The first 50,000 players to gather all 53 ingredients will unlock a free entree offer.

Chris Brandt, Chipotle’s Chief Brand Officer, noted, “Our fans love to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with our real ingredients. This year, we’re giving the Roblox community the opportunity to compete for free Chipotle and learn more about what makes our brand unique along the way.”

This innovative giveaway aligns with a growing trend of unexpected promotional campaigns from major brands in 2025. For instance, Fireball Whisky is offering a lifetime supply of its products as a prize, but with a twist: participants must be 90 years old or older.
