Christina Aguilera is once again embracing the essence of burlesque, paying homage to the film and the daring style of lingerie worn as outerwear. Long before it became a standard in Hollywood, Aguilera was making statements by incorporating intimate apparel into her public appearances. As she takes on the role of producer for the upcoming West End stage adaptation Burlesque the Musical, set to debut in July, Aguilera has been frequently spotted in outfits that echo her burlesque influence. A recent appearance featured a striking all-black ensemble.
Christina’s Sheer Lace Ensemble
This week, Aguilera donned an outfit that radiated a witchcore aesthetic. The outfit consisted of a long-sleeved top characterized by a deep plunging neckline and a scalloped trim around the waist. The majority of the top was sheer, with an opaque built-in bra providing minimal coverage.
Accompanying this daring top was a lace maxi skirt, which hugged her figure until mid-thigh. A flowing, sheer tulle overlay added a whimsical touch, creating a serpentine silhouette. As with the top, the transparency of the skirt revealed her bold choice of dark undergarments.

Just a few days earlier, she attended the 11th Annual Breakthrough Prize Awards in Los Angeles, opting for a dramatically contrasting style. At this event, Aguilera embraced a more ethereal look in a flowing white chiffon dress, accentuated by a celestial-inspired floor-length cape attached to each strap, reminiscent of angelic wings.
However, the dress also had a sultry twist. The deep V-neck showcased her décolletage, while a lace-up corset cinched her waist, blending the innocent with the provocative.
Despite the contrasting vibes, Aguilera maintained a consistent theme in her overall style, retaining the same hairstyle, bold lip color, and layered jewelry across both looks, proving her ability to navigate between disparate fashion signals with elegance and confidence.
