For frequent travelers, airport lounges serve as welcome retreats from the often hectic atmosphere of airports. Rather than searching for a place to charge devices or a comfortable chair, passengers can relax in upscale seating, take advantage of high-speed internet, and enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks.
Historically, airport lounges were mainly operated by airlines for their most dedicated customers as well as business-class passengers. Today, a significant number of non-airline lounges have emerged, including those affiliated with credit card companies. The introduction of the Centurion Lounge by American Express in Las Vegas in 2013 marked the beginning of this trend, which has since been adopted by others like Capital One.
Capital One’s inaugural lounge opened in 2021 at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), with subsequent lounges established in Denver International Airport (DEN) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). These elegant lounges provide a range of amenities tailored to premium cardholders, including menus inspired by local cuisine, an open bar, and wellness initiatives.
This article will outline how to access Capital One Lounges, what amenities are available, and a comprehensive list of current and future locations. Whether you hold a Capital One card or are a traveler exploring elevated lounge offerings, this guide will provide you with crucial information about Capital One Lounges.

Access to Capital One Lounges primarily extends to those holding Capital One Venture X and Venture credit cards. However, other travelers can also enter via a daily pass, depending on availability. Here’s how entry is structured:
Capital One Venture X Cardholders: Cardholders enjoy complimentary access for themselves and two guests, with a fee of $45 for any additional guest. It’s worth noting that children under two are granted free entry. The annual fee for this card is $395, which is significantly lower than the annual fees for competitor cards such as the Chase Sapphire Reserve ($550) and the American Express Platinum ($695), both of which offer access to their own lounges.
Capital One Venture and Spark Miles Cardholders: These cardholders can benefit from two complimentary lounge passes each year until 2024. Starting in 2025, access will change, charging $45 per person for entry, which includes their guests. Children under two remain free.
Daily Pass Holders: If you do not have a Capital One credit card, you can still access the lounges by purchasing a day pass for $90 per person, with children under two granted free access. While the price may seem high, it can be worthwhile if you take full advantage of the available amenities.
Access policies may change, so confirming details with Capital One ahead of your trip is advisable.
Additionally, a significant restriction for entry is that a same-day boarding pass for a departing or connecting flight is required. This means that lounge access is only available prior to your flight departure or during layovers—not upon arrival at the airport. You can only enter the lounge three hours before your scheduled departure, so arriving earlier could lead to denial of entry.
