Connie Britton Discusses Her Relationship with David Windsor
Connie Britton has shared some personal details regarding her romantic life, shedding light on her relationship with producer David Windsor.
The acclaimed actress, now 58, has been in a committed relationship with Windsor for nearly six years. In a recent interview with Parade, she reflected on what initially drew her to him and her vision of a meaningful partnership.
Describing her relationship goals, Britton emphasized her desire for a partnership that fosters mutual growth and deepens their bond. “What I was really looking for was a partnership where there’s constant growth, on both sides, and a sort of deepening of each other,” she stated.
For Britton, the pursuit of true love encompassed more than just emotional connection; she sought a genuine life partner. She expressed, “I found somebody who I can walk on a journey with that is going to be constantly ever-changing.”
Throughout their five-year relationship, Britton has kept details of her connection with Windsor somewhat private, though she has praised him in previous interviews. During a 2023 appearance on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, she referred to him as an “amazing man” and recounted how they were introduced at a friend’s 50th birthday celebration.
Recalling that evening, Britton shared that upon arriving, she felt out of place as she did not know anyone at the gathering. However, while conversing with a friend, her friend pointed out Windsor across the room, prompting Britton’s interest. “There’s someone here you have to meet,” her friend said, leading Britton to exclaim, “Oh yeah, I wanna meet him,” upon seeing Windsor.
Although they did not get a chance to connect at the party, Britton encouraged her friend to have Windsor reach out via email, acknowledging her own hesitance to approach someone she did not know well. Windsor, being bold, took the initiative and sent her an email the following day.
Before her relationship with Windsor, Britton was married to John Britton from 1991 until 1995. She is also a mother to her son, Yoby, whom she adopted in 2011.
