Corey Feldman has announced the tragic news of the death of his drummer, Duke Gadd, who passed away due to a fentanyl overdose in Nevada.
Gadd’s death occurred earlier this week in Las Vegas, as revealed by Feldman in an emotional post on Instagram, where he shared a video clip of Duke performing onstage with his drums.
Corey expressed that Gadd was not only immensely talented but also the son of renowned percussionist Steve Gadd, and he spoke highly of Duke’s abilities and kind spirit.
However, Feldman poignantly noted that Duke was “poisoned by his own struggles in life,” leading to a loss that came far too soon.
Addiction has touched many lives, and Feldman shared that the news of losing yet another friend to substance abuse has deeply affected him, stating that it makes his “heart hurt.” He extended his sympathies to Duke’s family and friendships during this challenging time.
Corey Feldman, who found fame as a child actor in the 1980s and faced his own battles with addiction, has been actively involved in music for over a decade. He formed the band “Corey’s Angels” and is best recognized for their memorable performance on the ‘Today Show’ in 2016.
Rest in peace, Duke Gadd.
