Corinne Olympios to Bring Her Charm to Worst Cooks in America

Reality television enthusiasts last witnessed Corinne Olympios in the competitive setting of House of Villains, where she engaged in a battle of wits and strategy with fellow reality participants. Now, Olympios is preparing for a new challenge that has a charitable twist, showing another side of her personality, even as she retains her ‘villain’ persona.

Olympios will participate as one of ten celebrity contestants in the upcoming celebrity edition of Worst Cooks in America, set to premiere on January 5 at 8/7c. Partnering with her on Team Villain are reality stars such as Tiffany “New York” Pollard from I Love New York, Wes Bergmann from The Challenge, Bartisse Bowden from Love Is Blind, and Rachel Reilly from The Amazing Race. Opposing them on Team Hero will be renowned figures including Sebastian Bach, professional dancer Cheryl Burke, Big Brother‘s Frankie Grande, Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon, and Trinity the Tuck from RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Curious about what this season holds for Olympios and her co-stars, TV Insider recently connected with her for insights about her experience on the show.

Relationship with New York

On House of Villains, you and New York had a positive relationship during your time together. How did you two get along on Worst Cooks?

Corinne Olympios: New York and I share a truly unique bond. We were thrilled to reunite, especially since we arrived unaware of who else would be competing. Being placed on the same “villains” team was incredible because we could support one another during the challenges. Her presence provided so much comfort, feeling familiar in a competitive environment. Our first meeting was filled with excitement—screaming, hugging, laughing, and even some happy tears. It’s a beautiful friendship; we are committed to having each other’s backs.

Choice of Show

What made you decide that Worst Cooks was the right show for you next?

Participating for a charitable cause played a significant role in my decision, paired with the appeal of engaging in a fun yet challenging environment. I have been a long-time fan of Food Network—I grew up watching it. So being invited to join one of their shows felt like an incredible opportunity. Moreover, my dad, our family’s chef, is also a huge fan. I knew he would be proud to see me engage in something he loves. Being part of this renowned franchise seems like a genuine honor.

Insights from Fellow Contestants

Did your fellow HOV Season 1 alum Johnny Bananas have any warnings to give you about Wes?

Yes, Johnny had nothing but positive things to say! He described Wes as a good-hearted person—a true teddy bear who would support me throughout the competition. Wes proved his worth as a teammate, providing me with valuable assistance. Although I can’t disclose everything that happened, I can assure you he was an amazing partner during the show.

First Impressions

Did you come into this one with any preconceived notions about or relationships with the other stars?

Not at all! The cast members are kept under wraps until we arrive, which adds to the excitement. I had no idea New York would be in the competition. Upon meeting the group, I found everyone to be incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a delightful atmosphere. Without spoiling any surprises, I can say we truly supported one another during the process, and I believe viewers will find It genuinely entertaining. It’s one of the most amusing and enjoyable shows I have taken part in.

Favorite Dish

What is your go-to party dish, and what’s the story behind it?

My signature dish is my enhanced version of Raquel’s cheese pasta. It’s a crowd-pleaser! Although it seems simple, I’ve since learned to elevate it, making it quite gourmet. This dish has resonated with fans for a long time, and thanks to the culinary skills I’ve picked up, I’ve perfected it. It’s my top choice for gatherings and celebrations!

Charitable Cause

What charity are you playing for, and why?

I am competing on behalf of the Humane Society, an organization dedicated to animal rescue, which is a cause I passionately support. I’ve rescued animals myself and am an avid pet lover. My monthly contributions—ranging from food to bedding—have built a rapport with my local Humane Society. Having the opportunity to amplify their mission through this show is incredibly special. Regardless of winning, they will receive a substantial donation, and simply mentioning them on television is critical to highlighting the importance of their work. The Humane Society does exceptional work, ensuring that pets receive love and comfort as they await adoption.

Culinary Growth

Are there any food items you pride yourself on cooking?

Indeed! While I have always enjoyed cooking, my repertoire was limited to basic dishes. My experiences on the show have expanded my culinary horizons, enabling me to explore various cuisines. I can now prepare delightful dishes like sweet and sour pork from scratch, mastering the meat preparation and sauce-making. It’s exciting to venture beyond fundamental recipes.

What to Expect This Season

What can we look forward to from you and the others this season?

Viewers can expect a mixture of humor, lively interactions, and an authentic glimpse into who we are. The competitive spirit remains friendly, driven by a worthwhile cause, ensuring all participants are engaged in a good-natured environment. I believe audiences will appreciate our dynamic, along with the sheer hilarity spilling forth in the kitchen.
