2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Announced
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has revealed its inductee lineup for 2025, featuring renowned artists and bands such as Cyndi Lauper, Outkast, the White Stripes, and Bad Company. This esteemed group also includes Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, and Soundgarden. Additionally, the influential hip-hop duo Salt-N-Pepa and the late Warren Zevon are set to receive the Musical Influence Award.
Further honors include the Musical Excellence Award for Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins, and Carol Kaye. The Ahmet Ertegun Award will be presented to producer Lenny Waronker, who also serves as president of Warner Records.
The induction ceremony is scheduled for November 8 at the Peacock Theater and will be available to stream on Disney+. Details regarding ticket sales are yet to be disclosed.
John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, expressed admiration for the inductees, stating, “Each of these artists created their unique sound and attitude that significantly influenced culture and altered the trajectory of Rock & Roll. Their music resonated with generations and served as an inspiration for numerous artists who followed.”
This year’s nominees also included notable names such as the Black Crowes, Mariah Carey, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, and Phish, showcasing a diverse range of musical styles and eras.
To qualify for induction, artists and bands must be nominated 25 years after the release of their first record. Notably, Outkast, Cocker, Bad Company, and Checker are being honored in their first year of eligibility. Lauper and the White Stripes were previously nominated in 2023, while Soundgarden has been nominated twice in the past four years. Oasis and Carey were part of the 2024 nomination round.
