Found continues to surprise with its intriguing plot twists!
In a recent revelation, it was disclosed that Heather Tollins is, in fact, Sir’s sister, Lena, a twist that has added layers to the narrative.
This dynamic was hinted at by Danielle Savre during our previous conversation, but now we have more clarity.
Lucky for us, our friends at TV Fanatic caught up with Savre again to dive deeper into this development.
Amidst laughter, we discussed Lena’s complex loyalty towards her brother, her potential as a rival to M&A, and even gushed over her connections to classic television as Zack Morris’ sister.
Is Lena simply a victim of her circumstances, or does she embody the traits of an antagonist? We explore this question along with many others.
Check out our interview and an exclusive sneak peek of tonight’s must-see episode below!
First, what’s it like to be able to say you’re related to Zack Morris?
Honestly, I’ve always wanted to say that, but I worried it might sound overly cheesy! [Laughs]
Don’t worry; I’ll be cheesy on your behalf!
Someone brought it up, and I hesitated to respond because it felt too cliché. But I really love it! It was my immediate reaction when Mark-Paul Gosselaar greeted me with “Hi, sister.” I thought, “Oh my God, I’m Zack Morris’ sister!”
Your chemistry with MPG is fantastic. Did it develop naturally? How has it been to portray a character who’s more unpredictable than Sir? He seems wary of her.
Absolutely, it feels very organic. While my character is unpredictable and somewhat spontaneous, her primary motivation is to safeguard her brother.
Interestingly, Sir doesn’t seem to fear for his own safety around her; rather, he’s concerned about the risk she poses to Gabby.
This leads me to my next question: What drives Heather’s loyalty to her brother?
My core motivation is to protect him. He raised me to think this way. In a sense, I resemble Gabby, who spent her life under Hugh’s influence.
While I genuinely want to shield Hugh, I am also deeply manipulated by him, believing everything he says and viewing Gabby as a villain.
Lena is someone who can be erratic and dangerous. Her actions are unpredictable, but her commitment to protecting her brother is unwavering, even at the expense of her own life or the well-being of others.
It’s fascinating because she was initially under the radar—nobody suspected her.
Yet, Lena appears to choose one brother over the other, siding with Sir against Christian, who consistently chooses Gabby. Will this decision come back to haunt them?
Definitely. She’s deeply manipulated by her circumstances.
If Gabby had endured 18 years under Hugh’s influence, she might have become like Lena. It’s a good example of how different circumstances could yield varied outcomes. Lena sees herself as Hugh’s loyal soldier and fully believes his lies.
In her eyes, it’s unthinkable for Gabby to claim that her brother held her captive; Lena can only see how wonderful her brother is.
I referred to her as unhinged Heather.
That’s the perfect word! She truly is unhinged.
Her methods are certainly unconventional. Was her interest in Trent genuine, or was it purely strategic?
Initially, her goal was to extract information to assist her brother. She approached it with a certain pretext but eventually developed real feelings for him. This complexity adds further layers to her character, though it’s not always clear in the narrative since their relationship doesn’t get much screen time. Yet, it’s pivotal that she finds herself emotionally invested in him, creating internal conflict.
Lena isn’t merely using Trent anymore; she’s genuinely trying to persuade him of her brother’s innocence while casting Gabby in a negative light. There’s a part of her grappling with her allegiance to her brother versus her growing feelings, which creates turmoil.
She’s questioning everything subconsciously, albeit not outright. It’s not so much “Am I wrong?” but more of “What am I missing?” She’s experiencing feelings for someone for the first time, having lived a life dictated by her brother’s demands.
The narrative explores various shades of captivity, highlighting how Lena, like other characters, reflects this theme.
You’re spot-on with that observation. Every character has faced some form of abduction or loss, and it’s compelling to consider how Lena’s experiences parallel those in M&A.
If Jamie was taken in, there’s a possibility Lena could have been too!
True! She certainly poses a significant challenge. The upcoming episode, titled “Missing While Heather,” seems to hint at a dramatic confrontation rather than her disappearance.
Lena is definitely spirited! [Laughs]
We find ourselves at a crossroads where it’s unclear if she’ll side with M&A or maintain her brother’s loyalty. It’s a thrilling dilemma that keeps the audience guessing.
Can you share any teases about what’s next without getting into trouble? What excites you most for the viewers?
I can’t wait for audiences to see the relationship dynamics between Lena and her brother evolve now that their secret is out. Previously, they were operating in secrecy, but their interactions are bound to become more revealing.
People will witness the extremes Lena is willing to go to in her quest to protect her brother, along with a shift in the relationship between her and Gabby. How will that play out? Will Gabby perceive Lena as another victim or regard her as an adversary? The unfolding narrative will answer those questions.
The dynamic between Lena and Gabby sounds intriguing; they’re compelling counterparts.
Thank you for your time! Your energy is infectious, and I appreciate everything you shared!
It was enjoyable! I tend to talk very quickly, so I hope it all made sense! But thank you for reminding me that I played Zack Morris’s sister.
You can certainly add that to your resume!
Absolutely! That will be featured prominently on my resume!
We’ve edited this interview for brevity and clarity.
