Kannada film star Darshan is currently incarcerated due to allegations related to the murder of a fan named Renukaswamy. Karthik, a resident of Sagar in the Shivamogga district, has become a focal point of attention after he was photographed outside Bellary Jail, expressing his support for the beleaguered actor. Clad in a teddy bear costume, Karthik held a sign that read, “We are waiting for you.” His poignant gesture underscores the deep devotion felt by some of Darshan’s fans, despite the backdrop of serious allegations.

However, Karthik’s attempt to meet Darshan was thwarted, as prison regulations prohibit visitors from accessing inmates without consent from their families. Consequently, jail staff denied him entry, adhering strictly to these protocols.

In a conversation with journalists, Karthik voiced his unwavering belief in Darshan’s innocence, suggesting that the actor’s actions were justified. “We have been seeing atrocities on girls in the media daily, so Darshan has only punished the person who commits the atrocity,” he stated. He further expressed his determination, promising to return until he had the opportunity to see his idol, referring to Darshan as “our boss.”

Reports indicate that Darshan is suffering from serious back pain while in custody, a condition he has battled for the last nine years. Medical professionals from Manipal Hospital have previously advised that his condition could deteriorate without impending surgical intervention, raising concerns about the potential risks to his health.

Darshan’s legal troubles began in June when he was arrested following allegations that he was involved in the murder of Renukaswamy, who reportedly sent inappropriate messages to Pavithra Gowda, Darshan’s rumored partner. This case has drawn significant media attention and remains a topic of discussion among fans and the general public alike.
